After failing to find any lunch spots in Duluth on a Sunday, Grant asked Emily (our GPS) for some assistance and she suggested that Cloquet might be a place to stop (we are very close to Emily and respect her judgment). Passing through this small town, we spotted K-Lo’s and assumed that it was likely a run of the mill diner, which was fine with us at that point. We were happily surprised to find that K-Lo’s is the mother of diner’s! We sat at the counter and watched the magic happen on the grill. You must order the house omelet – it has to be seen to be believed and would probably feed a small family. The bread was homemade, everything was fresh and though the coffee could use some work, everything else was delightful. What a gem.
