Hello Wailin' Jennys ( sorry for my bad english ) : I'm a boy from Bilbao (Spain),where you played on February 2007 ( at "Euskalduna Palace,Bilbao" ).I was able to see you on that show . I enjoyed very much and bought your two albums (40 days and Firecracker) that you signed and dedicated to me after finishing a great and beautiful song. Some days ago , I've come back to listen those two albums and enjoyed a lot of again . Now I must look for your new LIVE album ( Opera..) in the shops of my town. And make a request for you : Please Come Back to Bilbao , to play again . It would be a great gift for our hearings and hearts. Thanks for your wonderful music !!! And Annabelle Chvostek will come back to play in Bilbao(at Euskalduna Palace) on May 2009 . Javi Soto .

I've been hooked on The Wailin'Jennys since I first heard their beautiful harmonies on a Prairie Home Companion airing on PBS a few years ago. I am very curious about the name of the group. Where does it come from....does it have some special significance....am I the only person asking this? I know a "jenny" is a female donkey, but the group is far superior to a trio of crooning donkeys! When I told a friend I had discovered a wonderful vocal group called The Wailin'Jennys, she thought I had said "Waylon Jennings." It's a big mystery to me. If the significance of the name has been shared with fans before, I sadly missed it. Please kindly explain.

I had the(extreme)pleasure of attending your concert in Fort Bragg,CA on March 7. I was so very impressed with your music! Each one of your voices was stand-alone beautiful, but when you sang together it was pure magic. I actually got chill bumps while listening, especially when you sang "One Voice". All four of you (yes, I include "Boy Jenny")are SO talented... your voices are a blessing and all of the instuments you play impressed me beyond words. If you ever come to town again, I will be first in line.

We saw you at St. Catherine's in St. Paul. It was absolutely amazing!! I was not aware of your music until my husband had me listen (he had two of your CD's already) and I was hooked! I bought your "Live at the Mauch Chunk Opera House" and I swear I have almost worn it out. I am going to be in Portland on the 11th and tried to switch my flight to see you on the 9th, but no luck. Don't change a thing...Heather's addition to your sound is absolutely amazing. Keep up the excellent sound and we will see you again when you are anywhere near Minnesota!!

While you're in Greensboro, try McCoul's Public House on West McGee Street. They've got friendly staff and great bar food--I recommend the bread pudding and British-style fish and chips!

Ladies, I had the pleasure to see the first show at Berkeley's Freight and Salvage last week - it was the first time I've ever seen you perform and I was just totally blown-away by the show - what an outstanding performance! My friend and I were in the 2nd row of seats and when you stepped out from behind the microphones to sing "The Parting Glass" for the final encore I was in tears -that was such a lovely song and such a intimate moment for us all - you are a gift to the music World! Come back to California soon! All the best / Bill (San Ramon, CA)

You remarkable music and easy stage presence filled the NApa Valley Opera house last night. Thank you all for sharing your hearts and talents with us so intimately. When I learned the Jennys would be at that venue I rushed to buy tickets. In the end I could have seen you here at home in Grass Valley, but I love that venue. It was worth the drive. I brought I friend, a professional musician partial to Latin jazz and Big Band music. It was a risk only vis-a-vis the genre choice. His comments centered around how undeniably unique your music is. We all loved it. Thank you so much for who you are and what you share. Deborah
