Hi Jennys, I sound like a broken record saying it, but I also heard you on Prairie Home Companion on August 21st. Wow. I was painting a bedroom at the time and I had to just stop and listen. Absolutely beautiful. I'm an illustrator and spend much of my day at the drawing board, sporting a pair of headphones. Music is a constant companion as I draw, so I just wanted to let you know you'll become a part of my work. I'm looking forward to the release of your new album in January. Thank you for sharing your beautiful talents, Bruce Arant

Looking forward to hearing your wonderful music again in Stoughton this fall (Hey, it was only one bat...just right for Halloween!) You no doubt have heard these folks, but if you're ever in that weird mood to do a cover, I'd love to hear your takes on The Audreys (Aussie group) Pale Dress, Long Ride or Where are you now? Nice spare strings support of tunes I think you'd really like. Bringing along two new fans in October ... hear you then!

Congratulations Ruth! UPTOWN MAG in Winnipeg did a review in today's issue of local CDs. They indicated: Ruth Moody The Garden (Red House Records) A Website: http://ruthmoody.com Full disclosure: I’m not a fan of roots music, nor do I have any prior knowledge of The Wailin’ Jennys or Scruj MacDuhk. That being said, Ruth Moody’s solo full-length debut has converted me. Opening with a pair of delicate little tunes that set the stage for laid-back piano- and banjo-laced gems, this record is a sheer delight. Like lullabies for the back porch, all the tunes (especially Within Without You) are delivered through Moody’s delicate voice, which could put a smile on any listener’s face. — Nick Friesen

Just saw you at Stone Mountain in Maine this past weekend. What a wonderful and intimate show. You've heard it all --so once more--you sing like angels! Congrats on all your years of hard work paying off . Hope you liked the cake!

I saw you perform a week ago in Norfolk, CT....incredible! From the moment that you began to sing, I was instantly moved (sometimes to tears). Your music is so heartfelt and beautiful. This past weekend I was in NYC and as I was turning the tuner on the radio, I heard "Cherry Blossom Tree" play. I couldn't believe it! They were playing a recording of a concert that you did in Seattle. I hope that your music continues to get more American airtime as it deserves and I can't wait till you come back to CT. Thanks!!!

Hey there Jenny's, You guys are just the best! I'm a long time fan, and you are always just so wonderful. The writing, playing, performing, musicality, the sense of social conciousness, mindfulness, and sense of humor! Grace. The list goes on. Thank you for such a great show at Jonathan's in Ogunquit last night. Beautiful, as always. I also had the chance to see you in Northampton at the Calvin Theater. Twice in a year! Yay! Congratulations again on all of the new arrivals, and happenings over the past year. Outstanding! Grant, the "Pants Song" is one of my new favorites for sure. Nice one! I try (with poor results) to sing it to my neice and nephews. Thanks so much again everyone and all the best in the fall when you start back up. Bring it back east coastin' when you can, and I won't run when that storm comes. Take care, Joe

Dear Jennys, I've been listening to you for years and will never forget seeing you live in Lancaster, CA. I play with a group with three female vocalists and you are our absolute favorite role models!! Also, I lived in West Asheville for a year and Sunnypoint was definitely at the top of my list. From one food lover to the next, I'd also recommend next time you're in town to try Bouchon. It's a French "comfort food" restaurant in downtown and they have the most authentic tasting deliciously sinful mussles/moules.

saw/heard you last night in oguquit. there is little to compare with the sound of three women's voices in harmony - you were astonishing. i was moist-eyed all night. then you sang "the parting glass," and i near lost it. lovely, lovely, lovely. come back soon - i'll buy the lobster rolls. xxoo

Dear Girls...I am a classical singer and I am a big fan of Prairie Home Companion...I just heard you for the first time on the Prairie Home Companion this weekend, August 22nd...and you sang a song that has not been commercially recorded from what I can tell..I found it not only on the archives of the Garrison Keilor show but also on a concert you did in Edmonton...but there is something about that particular performance on the Prairie Home Companion that is so vulnerable and so touching that everytime I play it, it makes me cry...I think it's one of the most beautiful things I ever heard...Whatever was going on at that moment served to make that a truly special moment...I don't know the story behind the piece as you wrote it but it is so plaintive and beautiful...I lost someone close to me last year and it makes me think of them...thank you! I'm now HUGE fans of YOURS!! AMAZING voices and harmony!

I am trying to find out which album has "Cherry Blossoms" on it. I am so amazed by your beautiful harmonies and am anxious to get some of your albums.

Debbie Sullivan

Hi Debbie. Sorry to say that Cherry Blossom has not been released yet. It will be on the new Jennys's album, to be released in January 2011. Thanks!
