The Wailin' Jennys to Join Bruce Cockburn and Special Guests at Massey Hall in Toronto on June 16, 2010
The Wailin' Jennys are thrilled to announce that they will be performing with Bruce Cockburn and other special guests in Toronto on June 16, 2010 at Massey Hall. The concert is entitled, "The Canadian Songbook: 40 Years of Bruce Cockburn" and is part of the Luminato Festival of Arts and Creativity. Other guests include Barenaked Ladies, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, Buck 65, Amelia Curran, Jason Fowler, Michael Occhipinti, Sylvia Tyson, and Hawksley Workman. Hosted by Jian Ghomeshi, don't miss this unique opportunity to see, hear, and celebrate a true icon of Canadian music.

The Wailin' Jennys' Ruth Moody releases first full-length solo album The Garden, April 20
We're excited to let you know that Ruth's new solo album The Garden will be released in TWO DAYS in the US on Red House Records! It will be available in stores, on itunes, on Amazon and through Red House Records. Canadian, Australian and European release dates will be announced soon.
The album was produced by Jennys' producer David Travers-Smith and features an amazing line-up of guest musicians, including Kevin Breit (Norah Jones, Kd Lang), Nicky Mehta and Heather Masse of The Wailin' Jennys, and the incomparable Crooked Still, who accompany Ruth on the title track.

In other news, we have just finished a run of five sold-out shows in Oregon and Washington and have now made our way over to the other side of the country for shows in North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont. We are also VERY excited to be returning to Canada for the first time in two and a half years (!) in May, with 9 shows through BC, Alberta and Ontario. AND we've been busy planning tours in some new territories for the Jennys, such as Colorado (finally!), so stay tuned on the website for additions to the tour page.

We just wanted to let you know that we are three days away from heading back out on the road! We're looking forward to seeing you all at the shows and singing you some new songs.
